A good Spring Well Situated close to the West Side of Black Morrow Plantation and about a Mile from the Burgh of Kirkcudbright. It is traditionally handed down as being where the young McLellan slew the Black Morrow. See description of "Black Morrow Plantation"

A portion of arable land in Black Morrow Plantation. It is a little elevated, and commands a fine prospect of the Solway Firth to it many of the Towns people resort during the Summer Months, hence the name. It is Situated close to the East side of Black Morrow Well. -
