Along the foreshore the rocks are large and broken being deeply indented. formerly it was called"Sauchur Point" and in a detailed descripton given of it in the Statistical Hist [History] of the County it is called by this name. though in a small map of the County paper'd to the same volume it is call'd "Elie Ness" when locally spoken of by the inhabitants it is call'd always Elie Ness, as only very few know it by the name Sauchur Point.
