095 This name applies to a small hill situated a short distance north of the Shepherds house known as Alltbreac. it is covered with heathy pasture and it signifies the knoll of the spotted stream.
PICTISH TOWER (Ruins of) [Cnoc an Uillt Bhric] 095 A short distance south of this hill are the remains of a Pictish Tower, the tower stood upon an artificial mound having an elevation of about twenty feet above the general surface, a pile of loose stones is all that now remains of the Tower.
