088; 097 | This name applies to a good Sized River famous for salmon and trout it has its source in the Mountains about two Miles West of Dalnessie and it runs in an Eastern direction for its whole length till it Enters the Moray Firth at Brora; It receives a great many tributaries on its Course the principal of which is the Black Water It Enters loch Brora West of Gordansbush and leaves it again About two Miles East of Gordansbush Loch Brora looks like an Expansion of the River as it is Very Irregular in form and in three places not wider than the River but opens out for about a fourth mile above & below these parts |
