058 A large elevated Mound Situate about 1/4 Mile South of the Village of Stoer. in opening the mound in 1871 the Revd. [Reverend] James Joass discerned a large Stone Coffin Containing a complete skeleton, which was replaced in the mound with exception of the Skull which was taken to Dunrobin Castle and is now in the possession of the Duke of Sutherland the above is believed to be associated in time, with the Pictish Tower. situate on the coast about 1/4 Mile South East of the Mound
