071 Applies to an Old Castle Situate on the N. [North] Side of Loch Assynt about 1 1/2 miles W. [West] of Inchnadamff; Supposed to have been built about 1581 or 1591 by the Macleods. The walls are yet standing, although it has been in ruins for a long period, suggesting it to have been strongly built and fortified.
