021 A hill feature on the Boundary of the Parish so closely adjoining the "Outer Black Hill" as to almost join its top, but the forms of these hills are totally different from each other both at the tops and bottoms, though the east sides are nearly alike as the fall towards the "Craw Road". The west or north & west sides of Holehead fall almost at right angles with the south side of the "Outer Black Hill", which is prominent as it falls to "Alvain Burn", in a south-westerly direction adjoining the "Inner Black Hill" (Trace 4. 27) on the other side of "Alvain" (See "Inner Black Hill") The brow of the height on which "Holehead" and the "Outer Black Hill" are runs nearly parallel with the "Craw Roaad" - southwards by the top of the Priest Burn and the Hare Stanes as sketched on Trace 4. 27.
