018.11 | A clean and compact little village situated on the right bank of the Firth of Forth. It has recently undergone extensive improvements by most of the old houses being taken down and replaced with neat cottages. It contains a population of nearly 200 and a public-house. The nearest church is at Dunmore Park, and St Andrew's School in connection with the village is about a mile distant. Houses are chiefly two storeys and tiled.
