038.02 The Site of an Ancient Brough or Pictish Fort. Situated on a Conspicuous point at the South end of "Vidlin Voe", and at the N. [North] end of "Loch of Vidlin". In the year A. D. 1829 the few stones that remained of the Brough were used for the building of a Methodist Chapel which Stands partly on its Site. The Site is well known by the name: but the building is considered to have belonged to a very ancient period.
