It leaves the ridge at a point to the east of Whitehope Burn and describes almost an arc, with the convexity towards the South, and concavity towards the North. It is a low ridge from 200 to 350 feet above the Yarrow and terminating in a finely rounded hill (a little to the NW [North West] of Whitehope Farm ho. [house]) called the Nowte Hill. |
