(Descriptive Remarks)
This name applies to what is commonly supposed to have been a stone circle Captain Warren who is a good authoraty on these matters cannot determine whether it has been a pictish Tower or stone circle but supposes it to have been the latter as there is one small stone yet standing near the western side of it about 2 1/2 feet high by about 2 feet broad This circle has all the characteristics of a Danish fort the inner circle is on the highest point of the small hill and has been strongly built with large stones and earth all of which has been removed Except the under row of stones the inner circle has also been surrounded buy a rampart wall also made of stones and earth where the dotted line is shown on tracing which is still about Eighteen Inches above the general surface. It is on the Property of Arthur Forbes Esqr Cullodan House

Note added - This object having been referd a second time to the sup. of the Examination section in Ross-shire, It has been decided to write the name on plan as "Stone Circle" (Remains of) as no information can be gleaned on the ground of its being a Danish or British Fort, but the prevelant belief is ["is" underlined] that it was a "Stone Circle"
