Its length is much greater than its breadth. It contains three small wooded islets, and is surrounded by the beautiful scenery of Castle Semple Loch" "It is furnished with Swans, Cape and Canadian geese in vast numbers, ducks, teals, and other kinds of water fowl, and contains pike, perches, and other kind of fish.
