007.11 A copious spring of excellent water, partially protected by an old but substantial wall. It has a very ancient appearance. Little is known about it, except from its proximity with the Ancient church of Houston (a portion of which is yet standing) dedicated to Saint Peter, it may be supposed to be in Connection with and named after it.

007.11 This street is named from its situation, being on the north side of the village. It is about 16 Chs. [Chains] long, and is made public to the east where it meets the Ph. [Parish] road.
