007.07 | An excellent Mansion house surrounded by wood. Plantations, Gardens, Ornamental or Pleasure grounds and Offices. The residence of the Misses Fleming. The Oldest part of the Mansion is a Square Tower, situated about the centre and forms a very conspicuous portion of the building. There is an ascent in the inside by means of winding stairs of stone to the top, and is elevated above the rest of the building 20 feet or thereabouts. It is not clearly known when this Tower was erected, but it is generally believed to be more than 500 years old, and no doubt connected with the Old Mansion house of Barochan which was situated on a neighbouring height to the east.
