002.11 Very Extensive Rope Works situate on the South side of Bay Street, besides the spinning of ropes there are about 300 Steam Power looms for the manufactory of Canvas or Sheet cloth. The respective departments in connection with the whole are designated upon the traces. Viz. The "Rope Walk" extending from the bridge at the Railway Station to near the "Sugar House". 2 weaving shops, a Calendar, Rigging Loft. Tar Store, and a large warehouse designated the "Gourock Rope Work Company Warehouse. The Engine House & boiler will occur upon the Common Plan
