100 Supposed remains of an ancient Brough situated about 1/4 mile West of Lyking and near the shore of "Loch of Stenness"
It has been partly excavated, and human bones Deer horns and ashes discovered therein, the interior consists of large stones undressed, and placed after the fashion of masonry, there also appears to have been circular walls, but these have been carried away for other purposes a couple of chains eastwards as an underground passage, two feet wide and four deep, which is supposed to have had some connection with the Brough, As, however, it has not been explored its length or where it leads to has not been ascertained,
