Quarrelwood Castle Continued --
of the last Century. After Lady Roscommon's death the Castle was neglected and became ruinous, and the materials were gradually carried away by the Tenantry round about for building purposes. until nothing was left but the foundations which are Said to have been erased by the late Reverend Alexander Simpson Minister of the Parish. This property is now owned by the Rt. Honbl. [Right Honourable] the Earl of Fife: Duff House Banffshire
