The present building was erected in 1604, on the site of a former castle, which was destroyed by fire about that time The Statistical Account says;- Brodie House is an irregular castlellated building, a large addition to the old mansion house was built by the present proprietor in the Old English Style of architecture. The dates 1602 and 1846 appear on some of the windows, cut in Stone |
