There is a Signal Pole erected a short distance north of the Station, upon which the Drum Signal is hoisted when warned by the Board of Trade that a storm is approaching. there is a Warrant Officer and four men stationed here. 001.15 This name applies to house used for storing the rocket apparatus stationed at Burghead the building is situated adjacent to the Coast Guard station and is one story high slated and in good repair, the apparatus is maned by twelve men four of which are Coastguards, the remaining Eight, being selected from amongst the most experienced and active Fishermen, who are trained to work the apparatus.
