[Situation] In Queens Street
A large structure The front of which is ornamented with Statues of Hippocrates, Esculapius, and Hygeia. This building was erected for the accomodation of the Rolyal College of Physicians. This body was incorporated by a charter of Charles II. in 1681 by this Charter the members have an exclusive privelige of practising medicine in Edinburgh and they are also enjoined to visit the apothecaries' shops and prevent the sale of insufficient &, corrupted drugs.
