A large plain building situated at the West end of Broughton Place, It was opened for the public in 1821. The interior is well fitted up with sittings galleries etc.sufficiently commodious for about 800 sittings, The present incumbent is the Rev. [Reverend] John Willison, Ferguson A, W, whos stipend varies on a count of it being derived chiefly from Seat Rents, The Low flat of this Church is appropriated as a School room in connection of the church. The number of scholars averages about 60 or 70 mostly taught free.
