An extensive establishment for the manufacture of Locomotive, Marine, and Stationary Engines, with an Iron and Brass Foundry attached. A number of the Locomotives used on the Scotch and English Railways are manufactured here. The premises are large and commodious, and well fitted up. with machinery &c. It is a branch establishment, belonging to the Messrs Hawthorn of Newcastle, the well known engineers.
