012 A good substantial building built of stone & slated surrounded by an ornamental plantation The manse belonging to it is a little to the south. This is a Chapel of Ease to Lasswade Parish Church There are sittings for 450 persons. Revd [Reverend] Mr Stirling is the present minister, whose income is chiefly derived from the Pew rents. Note - This place was a Quod Sacra Church with the district of Roslin attached, until the disruption in 1843 when it dwindled down to a Chapel of Ease to the Parish Church of Lasswade.
SCHOOL [Roslin] School Revd [Reverend]Mr Stirling, Roslin 012 A good substantial building built of stone & slated, having a large play ground attached. It was built by subscription and is supported by the Committee of Education & fees of the scholars Mr John Stuart is the present master - The school is situated at the (N.W.) [North West] end of the village of Roslin
MANSE [Roslin] Manse Revd [Reverend] Mr Stirling, Roslin 012 A very neat substantial building, built with stone and slated, with garden & pleasure grounds attached. The house is two stories [storeys] high & slated and in excellent repair. It is situated a little south of the Chapel of Ease and at the extreme (N.W.) [North West] end of the village of Roslin.
