Robert Duncan, Farmer, Falford.
County Map.
012 A tolerably sized rocky and heathyhill on the farm of Hillend. It is the eastern termination of the Pentlands and evidently gives its name to the farm. Upon its summit stands a Trigl. [Trigonometrical Station] called after the hill.
KIRKYETTON HILL Kirketton Hill James Steedman, Farmer, Boghall.
Robert Duncan, Farmer, Falford.
County Map.
012 A large heathy and rocky hill upon the farms of Boghall and Swanson. It is a component of the Pentland Hills or Range and his the most eastern of the chain except one. On its summit stands a Trigl. [Trigonometrical Station] called by the Trigl. party Shilders, from what circumstance I cannot learn. There is no church which could give rise to this name.
