Thompson Peffer Mill. | 003 ; 006 | An ancient edifice occupying a site on a rocky knowe at the west end of Duddingston Village. the date of which erection remains in obscurity but no doubt it may be traced as far back when the Saxons occupied this County. This church through much modernized, still possess remains of its ancient architecture, the exterior is of an erregular shape with a belfry or tower at the West end; in the interior is a semicircular Arch which divides the Choir from the chancel of the Saxon style of Architecture, and is of remote antiquity; it contains about 350 sittings, all of which are rented.
