A large plain building [forming] a Quoad Sacra Church but [has] been used since the disruption [as] the free church in 1846. The minister who officiated being [the] Revd. [Reverend] Alexander Gregory who is of the Roxburgh Free Church [The] number of sittings in this [church] is about 1150.

A neat structure the front ornamented with buttresses having a school house attached where 220 children are educated in [the] ordinary branches of English Number of sittings in this [church] is about 740. Number of [congregation] is about 400. The minister [is] Revd. Alexander Gregory whose [stipend] is £150. This church was [built in] 1846 the entrance to it is [from] Hill Square.
