A large and well constructed edifice partly of the plain Gothic Style of architecture built in 1849 under the auspices of the Duchess of Gordon. The minister is the Revd. [Reverend] William Balfour. The number of sittings in the church are 700. There are scarcely any exclusively appreciated as free seats for the poor by are only nominally paid & none are excluded who cannot pay. The average attendance are about 350.
