046.04 A large and prominent Rough and Heathy Pasture Hill it is the highest point of the range of Hills which extend from Craighead Hill in the East to Braid Hill in the West. there are some old Lead Mines in the Southern side from which considerable quantities of Lead have remained unworked for may years. 047.10 A medium sized Rough and Heathy Pasture Hill the property of Sir T.E. Colebrooke. The origin of its name is accounted for by an old Road which crossed it & formed the communication between Crawford & Crawfordjohn which from its steepness fatigued horses very much hence the name Fag. yad = "tire horse" this old road is now entirely disused
