Bothwell Haugh(continued)is altogether wrong. Tradition marks a spot near the Farm of the Haugh, as the site of a house where J. Hamilton of Bothwell Haugh lived, who shot the Regent of Scotland in Linlithgow. The whole of the Haugh which is the property of the Duke of Hamilton, is permanent pasture grounds.
