034.03 | A plain and commodious building in the modern style of architecture, three storeys high slated and in very good repair, adjacent is a Farmsteading. consisting of dwelling house & outoffices, the former one storey & slated, the latter are partly one storey & partly two storeys high, some of which are slated, others thatched. The residence & property of W. G Mitchell Esq NOTE: The spot lies about 1/2 a mile to the north west of Carwood: 'Two vessels of Roman bronze and evidently of Roman manufacture, wer found in a moss on the lands of carwood. One of them, which holds about 2 quarts, and has a handle and three legs, is in the possession of Mr Brown of edmonston. The other is of a squatter form and holds about 8 quarts'. |
