John Dickie n&s Grange Kirkcudbright		 050 A neat Modern built house and office all in good repair with about 6 acres of Land attached the whole of which is arable.Mr Nicholson (Stationer) says that he remembers of seeing a Moat, on or about the spot where this house is Erected the whole of which has been taken away, he also states that Mutt is the Original name of Moat, such objects having been placed by administer justice (hence the name) proprietor Earl of Selkirk
