A large Hill on the Farms of Screel and Whitehill the surface of which is Rocky Heathy pasture on it are two Trigl. [Trigonometrical] stations the one which was used is Called by Trigl. [Trigonometrical] party Skrill It is part of an irregular range. -

William Baird		 045 [Situation] On the northern Side of Screel Hill. -
A large projecting Rock on the North side of Screel hill hence its name
