046 This is the site of a Roman Catholic chapel which is said to have been dedicated to St Bridget, no trace of the Chapel can be pointed out now - The present tenant of Kilbride, when making some improvements about five years ago (1870) dug up near the Supposed walls of this ruin, a small hand bell, the handle of which was surmounted by a cross; it is now in the possession of the Hon: [Honourable] Mrs Stanley, He also, near the same place, found a stone baptismal font No information could be obtained, about the probable date of its erection, or when it ceased to be a place of Worship It is situated in a small piece of pasture land about a hundred yards to the East of Kilbride house,
TOBAR NA H-ANNAIT 046 Near to the above there is a beautiful spring well, known as Tobar na h-Annait, - Annait, is said to be the name of some heathen goddess, whom the highlanders worshiped
