012 This is applied to what is daid to be a Druidical Temple.
It is situated on a small wooded Knoll, a short distance to the South of Druid Temple farm house and consists of two circles. The outer one, is partly incomplete as some of the stones have been removed. There is a wall from four upright stones in the middle, to a large standing stone at the outside. The stone is about 10 feet high, and 4 feet square. The New Statistical Account in describing the antiquities of this parish says: "There is another Druidical Temple of extra ordinary dimensions, perfectly entire, in Midleys surrounded by a deep fosse, The stones are of such prodigious size, that is difficult even to imagine how, without the combination of great mechanical powers, they could be carried up the steep ascent"
