054 | [Situation] On the north side of the Cowgate The site of this chapel is known by tradition only. Mr. Kinmond who is one of a Calendering Company or firm and proprietors of the place states that he often heard asserted by some of the oldest inhabitants of the locality that the Chapel stood in the yard where its site is now marked on trace. James Thomson, the historian and Mr. Reid - Writer have been consulted personally and they corroborate this statement, although Mr. Charles Rogers of the Dundee Library is inclined to believe that it stood on the site occupied at present by the Wishart Church he is led to believe this from the Circumstance of graves being found beneath the floor of an old house which was pulled down a few years ago when clearing the site for the above church.
