On the east by the German Ocean and on the south by the frith of Tay. The coast is flat and sandy but a high verdant bank which seems to have formed the coast line in this quarter extends from N E. [North East] to S W. [South West] so as to give to the northern division of the parish the appearance of a terrace elevated about 50 feet above the southern division.
