This Church was built about the year 1400 but it is now a ruin part of the walls only remain - It stands in a grave yard which is still used - The Revd. [Reverend] Mr. Johnson of Limekilns says it was built about the year 1400 but he can give no farther information about it. In Chalmers Hist. [History] of Dunfermline Page 9 it is stated "The Church is supposed to have been built about 1400. the eastern Gable of which is almost entire. The area of it is 50 Feet by 15 within walls and the quire about 19 feet long from East to West. There are no remains of the old Manse which is known to have existed" Mr. Chalmers can give no farther information about it and thinks that nothing farther is known at the present time |
