011 A middling sized farm house, two stories high and in good repair, with convenient offices, thrashing Machine and farm attached. Occupied by John Nelson, the property of the Earl of Haddington. This house is Situated on an eminence and the ground on which it stands was at one time the church land of Whitekirk. In an arable field a short distance south from this house is a standing stone about 7 feet high. I could not learn any tradition respecting it.
