[North East] side of the parish, the boundary passes along the summit, about 8 chains in a Westerly direction, there is an erect Whinstone Slab or Standing Stone, its appearance affords no grounds that there is anything Antiquarian connected with it, probably it was a guide post on the Muir track to some of the border Markets.
