This Burn rises at the north end of the farm of Glen crosh and falls into Castlephairn water near the farmhouse. The stream here mentioned rises about ¾ of a mile above the linn, and is Called Glencrosh Burn, which is perhaps a more applicable name to adopt. although linn & burn are of different signification The rugged glen Commences at the N.W. Glencrosh Plantation & Linn - Mcmillan transcribed with a 'c' even though the presence of the 'c' is not obvious.Peat Cleuch - List of names as written has 'Peat Cleugh', but map 39 shows 'Peat Cleuch' has been adopted.
check - Situation - denominator assumed to be '4' rather than e.g. '11'
Glencrosh Linn - it is 'Lynn' on map 39. The Situation text has been crossed out (faintly), but not replaced, so I have assumed it is to be kept.
There are also some faint scribblings in the 1st column.
