055 A small Village the houses of which are all of a good description from 1 to 3 stories high. It has a Bone and a Woollen mill the last mentioned gives employment for 50 or 60 persons young and old their are also in it 3 public houses (the principle of which is called the ship inn) in the year [1841] their was erected a small but safe harbour affording mooring place to about 12 Vessels, Exports are all kinds of farming produce imports are Coal Bones Guano Timber & other Merchandise. Population of the Village is about 100.
