002.04 A large compact fishing village on the sea coast, situated about 1½ Miles west from Cullen. The houses which are all one story high, and nearly all thatched, are tenanted by fishermen & their families. There is a U.P Church, a School, Post Office, and four public houses in the village. The houses, generally, are the property of the occupiers, who pay feu duty, annually, to the Earl of Seafield.
