169 On the top of a small but bold rocky eminence is the ruin of an old Fort or watch Tower, and considering its fine commanding position over the pass leading from "Tayvallich" to "Carsaig Bay", with that of an other fort on the same side; had been used in defending the pass; the wall can be traced, alho [although], covered by grass. Situated a mile south west of "Taynish" and nearly half a mile north west of "Upper Farnoch". Sig: [Signification] "Hill of the mournful woman"
