I Patrick McDonald Surveyor aforesaid Do hereby Certify that upon careful Examina
tion of the forgoing several Rate and Duties I find they amount in whole to One
Hundred and Sixty Pounds five Shillings Sterling and that I Delivered to Mr John Reid
Collector of said Duties in the County of Banff upon the 20th Decemr [December] 1786 an Exact Dupli
cate of the above account Duly Examined and compared which contained my Oath that notices
were left with the whole forgoing Inhabitants or at their Dwelling Houses of the res
pective Dates foresaid In order that they might make a Report of the greatest Number of
Male Servants retained or Employ'd by them for the period Therein mentiond which they
