Glasgow 31st December 1779 I William Gordon Surveyor aforesaid do hereby certify that the
foregoing duty on servants have been carefully examined and I find they amount in
Whole to Sixty three pounds Sterling, And upon the 22d Current I transmitted to Alexander
Connell Collector of the Said duties for said shire an Exact dupplicate of Said Account
Compared with the foregoing which contained my Oath that notices were delivered to the
several masters or mistresses or left att there dwelling houses of the dates Anexed to
there Respective Names requiring them to Return the greatest number of Servants Employed
by them for the foresaid period
