I Duncan MacNuier Surveyor aforesaid do hereby Certify that upon carefull
examination of the foregoing several Rates and Duties I find they ammount in whole
Two pounds two Shillings, and that upon the 22d March 1790 I transmitted
[under] cover, a letter (put in to the post office at Inveraray addressed to the
[treasurer] of the Burgh of Campbeltown) an exact duplicate of the
before accompt duly examined and Compared with the foregoing

Surveyor of Window lights, Cart Tax. &c for Dumbartonshire
Taken In 1789 agreeable to the numbers kept from 5th April 1789 till 5 Apl [April] 1790
I David Hutcheson Surveyor aforesaid do hereby Certify that
upon carefull Examination of the foregoing several rates & Duties
I find they amount in whole to the sum of one pound Sterling And
that this day I delivered to Mr John MCaulay Collector of said
duties an exact duplicate of the same which contained my oath
that notices were left with the whole foregoing Inhabitants
or at their Dwelling houses of the dates annexed to their
respective names that they were to be charged with
the sums here by certifyed to be due from them

the Sum of £8.18.0 And that upon the 25th day of January
Currt. [Current] I sent by one of the Dumfries Carriers to Mr. Francis
Maxwell Collr. [Collector] of the said duties for the Burgh aforesaid, an
exact duplicate of this account,which contained my oath that
the Preceding inhts. [inhabitants] were duly Served with requisitions of the
dates foresaid, & that they are charged according to their
returns to me, or to the best information I could procure

I find the foregoing Duties amount to One pound Sixteen Shill Ster. [Shillings Sterling] and that upon the
29 Decem. [December] 1789 I delivered to William Kirkwood Collector of said duties an exact du-
plicate of thise Account duely examined & Compared which contained my Oath that
the foregoing Inhabitants were duely served with Requisitions of the above date
and that they were charged in conform to their Returns or according to my knowledge & belief
that they were liable in said duties

I George Storie Surveyor aforesaid do hereby Certify that upon careful examination
of the foregoing Several Rates and duties I find they Amount in whole to Twenty Seven
pounds four Shillings Sterling , and that upon the Thirty first day of December last
I delivered to John Carlile Collector of the said duties for the Burgh aforesaid an
exact duplicate of the above Accounts duly examined & compared with the foregoing
which contained my Oath that Notices or requisitions were left with the several Inhabitants
or at their Dwelling House of the dates annexed to their respective Names that they
were to be charged with the Sums hereby Certifyed to be due from them.-

I find the foregoing duties amount to Three pounds eight Shillings Ster. [Sterling] and that on 20 Decr. [December] 1789
I delivered to John Carfrae Collector of said duties an exact duplicate of this account duely
examined & Compared which Contained my oath that the foregoing Inhabitants were duely
served with requisitions of the above date And that they were charged according to their several returns
or according to my knowledge & belief that they were liable in said duties.

I Charles Robb Assessor aforesaed do hereby Certefy that upon careful Examin
ation of the foregoing Several rates and Duties I find they Amount in whole
to the Sum of One pound Tin Shillings Sterlling and that upon the Twenty first
day of December I delivered to John Hutton Collector for the Burgh aforesaid
an Exact Duplecat of the Above Account duly Examened and Compared with
the foregoing which Contaened my Oath that Noteces were left with the
Several Inhabetants or at their Dwelling houses of the dates Annexed to

to Mr Alexander Grierson Collector of the said Duties for the Burgh aforesd. [aforesaid]

Examination of the foregoing Several Rates & Duties I find they amount
in whole to Three Pounds Ten Shillings Sterling, and that upon the --

duties for the Burgh aforesaid, an exact Duplicate of the above Account duly
examined and compared with the foregoing, which contained my Oath that
notices were left with the Several Inhabitants, or at their Dwelling house
of the dates annexed to their Respective names that they were to be charged
with the sums hereby certified to be due from them .
