Proof 11 Carts @ £0.10.0 is £1.2.0
I Anthony Macmillan Surveyor aforesaid Do hereby Certify that upon
careful examination of the foregoing Several rates and Duties I find they
amount in whole to the Sum of one pound two Shillings Sterling and
that upon the Twelfth day of November one thousand & Seven
hundred & Eighty eight years I delivered to Mr John Ewart Collr. [Collector] of
the said duties in the Burgh aforesaid an exact Duplicate of
the foregoing which contained my oath that requisitions were
left with the said Several Inhabitants or at their dwelling
Houses of the dates annexed to their respective names
that were to be charged with the Duties here by certified
to be due from them
