upon Carefull Examination of the foregoing Several Rates & Duties
find they Amount in whole to Four Pound Sterling and that
I Deliverd to Humphrey Grant Collector of Said Duties in [the]
Town of Forres on the 17th Day of Decmr [December] 1786 an Exact Du [Dupl=]
=icate of the Above Account Duly Examined and Compared [with]
the foregoing which Containd my Oath that Notices were
left with the whole foregoing Inhabitants or at their d [dwell=]
=ing houses. In order that they might make a Report of [the]
greatest Number of Carts Wains or Waggons Retaind or
Employed by them for the period therein mentioned which t [they]
did in Substance as Above -- [signed] Patrick McDonald Surveyor
