Parish Abernethy

Description

A parish in Perthshire between 1891 until 1975. Before 1891 it was partly in Fife and partly in Perthshire. It was sometimes known as Obair Neachtain parish. The parish of Kincardine-on-Spey was annexed into Abernethy in the sixteenth century. A medieval parish and a parish for civil and religious purposes from the sixteenth century until 1975. The boundaries of the civil parish were altered by the Boundary Commissioners in 1891.
