    NC02SE 19 centred 0770 2100 A township comprising twenty-nine roofed and three unroofed buildings within a head dyke is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Sutherland 1878, sheet lxix). Seventeen roofed and ten unroofed buildings are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10,000 map (1971). Information from RCAHMS (SAH), 8 September 1995. Sites recorded during a survey of the intertidal zone and the coast edge (50m from the mean high tide mark) between the Rivers Ullapool and Culag. Further details can be found in a report submitted to Historic Scotland. Badnaban (township; NC 02 SE 19) NC 074 210 Trackway, slipway, stone boundary walls, lazy beds. NC 078 212 Weirs. NC 079 212 Dam. NC 081 211 Rectangular building, boat noost, slipway. Sponsors: Historic Scotland, Glasgow University Archaeology Department. A Long 1996 NC 077 208 A rapid walkover survey was carried out in February 2001 in advance of a proposed Woodland Grant Scheme. Faint traces of dykes and rigs were recorded westwards from the existing field system around Badnaban. These were heavily degraded and of little archaeological significance.
